Dr. Brandon Shim

Dr. Brandon Shim brings a fresh approach to dentistry, focusing on patient comfort and clear communication so that every visit feels seamless and stress-free. With a strong focus on preventative dentistry and patient education, he believes that maintaining a healthy smile starts with understanding how to care for it between visits. Whether it’s a routine cleaning or a more complex procedure, he takes the time to listen to each patient’s concerns and tailor the treatment plan to their individual needs.

With a commitment to learning, Dr. Shim has a distinguished educational background. He graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).

While in dental school, his passion for dentistry shined. He served as a chapter president and national chair of the American Student Dental Association while participating in prestigious honor societies such as Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Gamma Pi Delta, and Gorgas.

Remarkably, Dr. Shim also took part in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program as one of two selected 4th-year students. The program has provided Dr. Shim exceptional training in the latest advancements in dentistry and valuable insights for delivering the highest standard of dental care.

As an aspiring dentist, Dr. Shim continues to build on his expertise through courses and programs. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is enrolled in Spear Education institute. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Shim enjoys spending time discovering local cuisine, working out, playing soccer, and connecting with friends and family. He aims to foster similar bonds with his patients, as he’s committed to building lasting relationships with every patient he serves.
